That’s why we’re excited to highlight one of our physicians, Dr. Erica Tarabadkar.
Dr. Tarabadkar joined our practice in 2023. She is a born and raised Atlanta native. Prior to joining Olansky, Dr. Tarabadkar was an Assistant Professor at Emory’s School of Medicine in its Department of Dermatology.
In this “Employee Spotlight,” get to know what drew Dr. Tarabadkar to dermatology, and a few other fun facts about her!
Where did you go to school?
For undergrad I went to UGA, and for medical school, I went to Morehouse School of Medicine.
Why did you choose your particular specialty?
I enjoy the close patient interactions, procedures, and multifaceted connection to pathology. I like the variety of both benign, inflammatory, and autoimmune diseases as well as malignant diseases. Dermatology is special because it is so visual, and I love that the best about our specialty!
What is the most rewarding thing about your job?
I find connecting with patients is the most rewarding aspect of my job! I love talking with patients and helping to come up with treatment plans as a team.
Tell us about your family, pets, or loved ones:
I come from a big family (1 of 6). I am married and together we have two children, a 3-year-old and a 10-month-old. We also have a chocolate lab we adore named Archie! We are busy chasing around our two kiddos and, of course, Archie.
