On Saturday, May 22, 2021, Olansky Dermatology & Aesthetics’ Dr. Jodi Ganz appeared as a guest on “Lenz on Business” on News/Talk WSB Radio.
Dr. Ganz and host, Jon Waterhouse, discussed the business side of dermatology and what it’s like collaborating with a group of physicians to run an independent medical practice. She touched on the value of community building, the importance of physicians having a strong understanding of the business aspects of their field, the private equity movement, and the aesthetics boom that’s been taking place during the pandemic.
Dr. Ganz is a board-certified dermatologist, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and managing partner of Olansky Dermatology & Aesthetics. She practices general dermatology and some aesthetic services. Dr. Ganz’s career in dermatology was sparked through its specific blend of concepts she loved: ongoing patient care, microscope work, and surgery. She is a graduate of Cornell University, received her medical degree from the University of Virginia’s School of Medicine, and is specialized in female genital dermatology.
During the show, Dr. Ganz expounded on a number of core values at Olansky, a practice focused on increasing the Atlanta community’s skin health. This included discussing our involvement in a recent free skin cancer screening and efforts in raising funds for the donation of a sunshade structure to an Atlanta area elementary school.
“We are a family practice, and we think of Atlanta as part of our family…We’re very much embedded in this community, and it’s important to us to give back because of that,” says Dr. Ganz.
A key part of Olansky’s mission statement is that we provide families with compassionate skincare and medical education, giving them the comfort and confidence to live healthy and beautiful lives. “That’s what I believe,” says Dr. Ganz. “Everybody deserves healthy skin.”
